Research Tools / **People** # **Rex King** (Reginald B. King) ##### (d. King), was an active Baha'i, traveling teacher, and member of the Spiritual Assembly of Anchorage, Alaska who, after the passing of Shoghi Effendi, accepted Charles Mason Remey as Guardian. He was elected secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly, which Charles Mason Remey dissolved in 1964 due in part to King's activities. Rex King is mentioned in several of Dr. Leland Jensen's letters. He is also the subject of Charles Mason Remey's [[1969-09-13 Rex King as Satan|letter of September 13, 1969.]] His activities are explained in detail in the second International Baha'i Council's [[1991-08-15 sIBC Response to Amy Krueger and Sara Toole|response to Amy Krueger. ]] Rex King ultimately came to believe that Charles Mason Remey had never been the Guardian, rejecting the claim of his adoption by 'Abdu'l-Baha. He then turned his allegiance to Joel Marangella as guardian for a short period of time.
